Bailey Vaydich began her curling journey in 2017 and quickly developed a passion for competitive play. She started competing at a high level during the 2019–2022 seasons with Team Vaydich out of the FM Curling Club in Fargo-Moorhead. During that time, she helped lead her team to a Dakota Territory Curling Association U14 Championship, marking an early milestone in her junior career and establishing her as a promising young talent in the region.
In 2021, Bailey joined Team Johnson for the U18 National Championships in Fort Wayne, Indiana — a pivotal experience that introduced her to national-level competition. She officially became a full-time member of Team Johnson for the 2022–2023 season, playing second in her first year before transitioning to the lead position for the 2023–2024 season. Her versatility and strong sweeping ability made the move a natural fit, and she has since become a key tone-setter at the front end.
With Team Johnson, Bailey has competed in three U18 National Championships and U21 National Championships, contributing to the team’s continued success at both age levels. The team went on to capture national titles and represent the United States internationally at the 2025 World Junior-B Women’s Curling Championship, earning a silver medal and qualifying the U.S. for the 2026 World Junior Women’s Championship.
During the 2023 Youth Olympic Games (YOG) qualifying season, Bailey expanded her competitive résumé by forming a mixed fours team with Gianna Johnson, Carson McMullin, and Miles Grabow. Coached by Connor Kauffman, the team won the Dakota Territory Mixed Fours Playdown and advanced to the 2024 USA Curling Mixed National Championship in Denver, where they finished fourth — an impressive national result in a highly competitive field.
Off the ice, Bailey balances her athletic commitments with academics while continuing to grow as a leader and teammate. Known for her work ethic, positive energy, and competitive drive, she continues to build on her national and international experience as part of one of the country’s top junior programs.
